I am australian ppt holder, have used my 2 year working holiday visa to uk about 7 years ago, am under 30, qualified beauty/spa therapist, and am wondering how i can work in the UK again? I dont have family with UK ppt, have not worked previously as a therpist in the UK and was wondering if there are Beauty based companies in London that sponsor for visas? How do I find them?

Visa rules have significantly changed since the last time you worked in the UK and there is a realistic chance that you will not be able to work in the UK this time. Let me try to explain my statement. By spa therapist I am assuming you mean someone like a beauty therapist who has had some schooling but has not received a B.S. (Hons) degree. If that is the case then you would most likely a General Tier 2 visa would be the most likely visa for your situation.

A Tier 2 visa requires that you have a sponsor and that sponsor must be certified by the Home Office to apply for work visa. In order for them to apply for a work visa at the Tier 2 level they first must advertise the job in the UK before they consider non-EU applicants and they must prove to the Home Office that they made an attempt to find a qualified UK applicant before they have applied for a visa. In essence this means only those jobs that cannot be filled by UK or EU nationals can be offered to third country residents. Given that there are over 2,100,000 people unemployed in the UK it is unlikely that any employer would need to search for a qualified applicant outside of the UK or EU.

In the event you are able to find an authorized employer, they are not able to find anyone within the UK and they offer you a job your application will be scored on a variety of factors. These factors includes qualifications, potential for earning, if the job is in demand, and if you have enough funds to support yourself until you receive your first pay check.
